How to Fit a False Tail


Fitting a Finishing Touch false horse tail is very easy. Below is a 5 step guide we've put together to help you fit the tail to your horse properly.

False Tail Fitting Step 1
1.  Start at the base of your horse's tail bone (dock) ,take some hair approx 1/2 thickness of your little finger, split this into 3 strands to form a plait from.
False Tail Fitting Step 2
2. Begin to plait a 3 strand plait just as you would to plait your horse's mane. Make 3 or 4 cross overs before putting the false tail in.
False Tail Fitting Step 3
3.  After 3 or 4 cross overs, take one of the strands and thread it through the loop at the top of the false tail. Continue to plait for approx 2 inches.

4.  Once you have plaited down 2 inches, put in a rubber band to secure and you are done, ready to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

5.  Now shake your horse's tail the the false one will merge inside, hiding perfectly.
